I'm a student of Zhejiang University of Science and Technology(ZUST). I'm from Zimbabwe. I have recently been very interested in the interactive country-based exhibition portraying the history of China, hosted by my university. The superlative exhibition included retrospective events which were portrayed on 18 posters in order of occurrence, starting from 1921 up to 2022 and a guide to divulge the content.
The founding of CPC in 1921 was an eye opener to this country and a start for something beautiful. The period from 1921 to 2022 is known as Path to Glory and some events worth mentioning happened during this era which includes the founding of People's Republic of China in 1949. There was also my favorite hero which is Deng Xiaoping (also known as Xixian), he made a lot of notable statements but the most eye-catching is when he emphasized on the importance of seizing the opportunity of the moment to accelerate reform and opening up and to concentrate on economic development. In 1997 Hong Kong was returned to China, this ended past humiliation and marked a major step toward the complete reunification of China. Hong Kong has since then embarked on a journey of unity and common development with the motherland. There was also returning of Macao to China in 1999 and it witnessed the fastest growth and the biggest improvement in livelihoods over the past two decades. The "One Country, Two Systems" principle proposed by Deng Xiaoping saw a great success. A lot of historical events were portrayed which concluded with the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games which is the most recent event.
By the end of the exhibition all the audience was filled with knowledge and understanding of the rich history of China and this helps us paint a detailed picture of where we stand today.
